Chiropractic care supports your health in many other ways besides relieving back pain, neck pain, or headaches.
Just like seeing your dentist regularly helps to prevent any issues arising with the health of your teeth, chiropractic care has been known to help prevent degenerative health problems in the process.
Is chiropractic effective?
Chiropractic care removes postural imbalances and structural misalignments that can occur in our bodies over time. Consistent adjustments and exercises support your body’s own natural ability to heal. For your body to remain healthy, your nervous system must function properly.
For your nervous system to function well, it must be free of interference (no pinching of delicate nerves). Chiropractic adjustments remove this nerve interference and it allows optimal nervous system function - which can improve countless areas of your health. It’s absolutely effective!
What is subluxation?
A subluxation is when vertebrae (spinal bones) become moved out of their normal position. Subluxations can be caused by anything from a minor slip or bump to a car accident. When a vertebra is subluxated, it can put pressure on nerves, blood vessels, and everything around it. This pressure interrupts the nerve signals sent from the brain to the body and from the body to the brain, ultimately causing dysfunction and a host of health issues.
How does chiropractic care work?
Chiropractic holds the perspective that your body is self-sustaining and self-healing. Your brain controls your body through its connection via the spinal cord and the vast networks of nerves throughout the body. If it’s not working well, you can feel it as unhealthy and unpleasant symptoms occur.
Nutrition and supplements may be recommended in addition to treatment. However, prescription drugs are not. Often medication acts as a band-aid to treat symptoms rather than finding and correcting the source of the real problem.
Many people think chiropractic care is only for back and neck pain, however, it’s really a way to holistically bring the mind and body into balance. Chiropractors not only treat soft and hard tissue problems such as sciatica and joint pain, they also are largely called on to heal more significant issues like fibromyalgia, allergies, insomnia, headaches and more.
Are chiropractic adjustments safe?
A spinal adjustment involves minor movement or manipulation of vertebrae in the spine. This realigns the vertebra that have moved out of place. (This can be caused by a number of reasons ranging from normal sitting, standing, or sleeping, to the impact of a car collision.)
When these vertebrae are out of place, it has a systemic effect on the entire nervous system. Without proper alignment and flow of all nerves and systems in the body, we can't function at our peak.
An adjustment involves pressure from the chiropractor using their hands or an instrument to move a vertebra back into place. This happens with a quick movement and is often without discomfort. You may hear a noise that sounds like you're cracking your knuckles, called cavitation, which is actually the release of gasses between the joints, not having your bones “cracked” or “popped."
These adjustments are safe and should not be painful. We encourage you to discuss which adjustments you are comfortable with and ask your doctor any questions you have.
What results can I expect?
In order to remove imbalances standing in the way of your natural healing, your nervous system must have the space and ability to flow freely throughout your body. Chiropractors have the ability and skill to remove these interruptions or misalignments which allows the body to perform as it was meant to.
If you've ever been in a car accident, played a sport, fell down or just bumped into something too hard, you already know what this feels like. Sometimes you may experience health problems or conditions that are also caused by a misalignment but not ever experienced a fall or trauma. Working with a chiropractor can help you learn more about these problems and create a plan to get your body back on track.
Patient Testimonials
“I didn't truly know what normal felt like until I was able to fully be out of pain.”
“Prior to coming to ET Chiropractic I had severe issues with vertigo. I would get dizzy 2-3 times a day and after visiting traditional doctors, I had been told that nothing could be done help. After coming to ET Chiropractic, my vertigo has decreased significantly to a 1-2 times a week, usually because I failed to eat at a reasonable time. I'm thankful for all the support from the awesome staff and doctors. I used to see a chiropractor in high school for a sports injury.
As I got older I had old aches and pains that would surface and I thought them to be normal. It wasn't until recently that I realized that getting adjusted regularly took away ALL of my aches and pains. I didn't truly know what normal felt like until I was able to fully be out of pain.”

“…substantial relief in ways that medications and other forms of physical therapy may not achieve.”
“As a practicing neurologist, I have become aware that each discipline has its strengths and weaknesses in treating patients with various health problems.
The proper use of chiropractic therapy for individuals with specific causes of pain, such as disk herniation and spondylolisthesis, can safely provide substantial relief in ways that medications and other forms of physical therapy may not achieve.
By working in concert with the treating physician, chiropractors can offer real benefits to the right types of patients. I highly recommend Dr. Tony Fedoryk as a competent and caring chiropractic practitioner."

“I cannot recommend ET Chiropractic highly enough!”
“I cannot recommend ET Chiropractic highly enough! For over six months I was in excruciating pain due to a herniated disk in my upper back. I was on several prescription pain medications and ended up undergoing three epidural shot procedures over those months to relieve the immense pain I was dealing with.
No solution seemed to be effective enough in getting me back to normal however, and I don’t even want to mention the outrageous expenses associated with constantly refilling pain medication prescriptions and going in for epidural shots!
Luckily, since I started getting regular weekly treatments with Dr. Reza over the last month or so, I have already been able to nearly phase out all my pain medication and have not required an epidural shot in over a month.”
