Conditions Treated by Chiropractic Care

Chiropractors focus on both preventative care and corrective care.

Below are some common conditions that can be treated with chiropractic.

Many patients come to us for help with things like…

Back and Neck Pain - The chiropractic approach restores a natural motion and position of the affected spinal bones with specific chiropractic adjustments. The simplicity and success of this approach has been documented in numerous research projects and has helped many patients avoid risky surgery.

Headaches - Did you know your chronic headaches may be caused by a malfunction of spinal bones in the neck and upper back?

When bones of the spine lose their normal position or motion, sensitive nerves and blood vessels to the head are affected. This leads to throbbing headaches. Medications only cover up these warning signs with temporary relief, and they do not correct the underlying cause.

Sciatica - One of the most common causes of sciatic leg pain is the Vertebral Subluxation Complex. When the sciatic nerve roots are irritated, scraped, twisted, stretched or pinched as they exit the spine, it causes serious pain. A flare-up like this involves symptoms like back pain, burning, cramping or numbness that radiates into the thighs, legs, ankles, feet and toes, making it difficult to stand, sit, walk, or even sleep!

Sciatica, like other health problems that can be traced to the spine. It often responds dramatically by restoring normal spinal function with conservative chiropractic care.

Auto accidents - The reason people choose chiropractic care for treatment of auto accident injuries is simple – chiropractic care is exceptional in the treatment of soft tissue injuries, especially of the spine. Since the most common injuries associated with auto accidents are sprains and strains of the spinal muscles and ligaments, it’s only natural that chiropractic be the treatment of choice.

Sports Injuries - Injuries can restrict range of motion, reduce strength, slow reflexes, shorten endurance, and decrease performance. Chiropractic care for these types of injuries has become increasingly popular. Professional sports teams, Olympic trainers, and competitive athletes are employing chiropractors – because they demand results.

Whiplash - Collisions that occur during sporting events, slips, falls or automobile crashes can all have a damaging effect on your neck and back.

This instability of the spine and soft tissues can cause to headaches, dizziness, blurred vision, pain in the shoulders, arms and hands, reduced ability to turn and bend, and low back problems. As the body attempts to adapt, symptoms may not appear until weeks or even months later.
